Are appointments required?

It is strongly recommended to book an appointment to ensure that one of our experienced bridal consultants can give every bride their full attention and so a change room is available for you. 

Why do I have to take my shoes off when I come into your store?

Our beautiful gowns touch the floor so we kindly ask that you remove your shoes when you enter our store. We ask this so that we can keep our sample dresses as clean and beautiful as possible so that our customers have a nice clean dress to try on and purchase. We do supply slippers for you to wear in the store, or you can bring your own slippers/indoor shoes.  We apologize if this is an inconvenience to you, it is not our intention to offend anyone. 

How long do I have for my appointment?
We allow 2 hours for your bridal gown appointment. Bridesmaid appointments are also 2 hours.

For this room we allow the appointment to be 2 and a half hours.

Who should I bring with me?
We know that everyone’s opinion is important to you, but the focus should always be on you.

Choose friends or relatives who know you well and that you can trust to help you with choosing your dream dress.

What should I bring with me to my appointment?
We recommend you bring pictures of styles that you like.

Strapless bra is always good to have, it’s a lot easier to picture how the dress is going to look without black straps in the way.

Some brides also like bringing their own pair of heels with height they are thinking of for the wedding day.

We recommend wearing full back nude underwear.

What is the price range for your wedding gowns?
We have prices that start at $250 and go up to $2,500
How long does it take to order a wedding dress?
The industry standard is 6 to 8 months and may vary by designer.

It’s always best to start looking a year before your wedding, so then you are not feeling pressured.

Do you offer steaming for dresses that were not purchased at your store?
Yes! We do charge for steaming the dress, and the cost depends on the type of dress.
When should I order my Veil/Headpiece?
Our designers take about 3-4 months to get accessories from, we also sell off the rack.

When you are here choosing your dress we can also look at accessories and order at the same time, that way they can be in for when your dress arrives.

Can I complete my entire look in one appointment?
Absolutely! Not only do many brides find their dress on their first visit to our salon, but they also find all their accessories (veils, headpieces, shoes, jewelry etc) on their first visit.
How long does it take to order dresses for other members of my wedding party?
For bridesmaids and mothers we recommend 3-4 months, flower girls 2-3 months.

If you are having your bridesmaids all in the same colour, we wait until every member has been measured and paid deposit before we order, as we want to ensure they are all cut from the same dye lot.

How come you don’t have every dress in-store that is on your website?
We can not possibly have every gown in-store from our designers, each season they release 70 new gowns on average.

We bring in what people have been asking for in Durham Region and make an educated judgment on purchasing the gowns.

What sizes do you carry in store for me to try on?
We carry the largest assortment of dress sizes, starting from size 4 and going up to a size 32.
Do you have plus size dresses?
Yes! We carry two plus size designer lines. Callista and Bridalane. Sizes start at 14 and go up to size 32. One designer the dresses go up to size 36!
How come I have to order a dress 2 size bigger then what I normally wear?
Bridal and Formal Wear fits 1-2 sizes smaller then regular clothes.

Each designer has different size charts, and we have to go with what size will work best with your measurements.

How do I pay for my dress?
We require a 50% deposit of the total when we order your dress.

You may pay by Cash, Debit, Visa or MasterCard

When your dress comes in you are required to pay the rest of the balance off, and take it with you.

If you purchase a dress off the rack full payment is required and you must take the dress with you.

Are my family members allowed to take pictures?

We want you to be able to capture your shopping experience with your family and friends.

Are alterations included in the price?
Our prices do not include alterations. We do not do alterations in our store.

We do know of seamstresses who are local and we can give you their information when you are in.

Can I buy a wedding dress of the rack?

All of our gowns are for sale off of the rack as well.

Do you offer Consignment?

As of January 1st, 2019 we are no longer accepting new consignment dresses.

We will be finishing out the contracts that we have with current customers.

What is required for tuxedo rentals?
Once all measurements have been received from all members of the party, a 50% deposit is required to place the order.

Once the tuxedos arrive in store (week of the event) the remaining balance is then due.
