We have compiled an easy checklist starting a year before you wedding date.

12 months before

  • Figure out who’s paying for what
  • Set the wedding budge
  • Hire a wedding planner if you are planning on using one
  • Book the ceremony site and reception venue


10 months before

  • Go dress shopping
  • Select your bridal party


8 months before

  • Order your wedding dress (most companies take 6-8 months for the dress to come in)
  • Hire your caterer, florist and photographer


6 months before

  • Order bridesmaid dresses ( most companies take 4-6 months for the dresses to come in)
  • Book your honeymoon
  • Send save the dates


4 months before

  • Order your cake
  • Plan the rehearsal dinner
  • Choose the groom’s and groomsmen attire


2 months before

  • Have your hair and make-up trial
  • Finalize the ceremony with the officiant


6 weeks before

  • Confirm delivery of your dress and bridesmaid dresses
  • Apply for a marriage license

2 weeks before

  • Have your final dress fitting
  • Review RSVP’s


1 week before

  • Provide final head count to the site and caterer
  • Finalize the seating chart
  • Give last-minute requests to vendors

48 hours before

  • Pick up your wedding dress from the seamstress
  • Put vendor tips in envelopes, and ask the maid of honour or best man to distribute them

Day before

  • Do last-minute primping (manicure, pedicure)
  • Rehearse the ceremony
  • Give gifts to the bridal party


Day of

  • Give rings to the best man and maid of honour
  • Get married!!
  • Enjoy the day!
