We have compiled an easy checklist starting a year before you wedding date.
12 months before
- Figure out who’s paying for what
- Set the wedding budge
- Hire a wedding planner if you are planning on using one
- Book the ceremony site and reception venue
10 months before
- Go dress shopping
- Select your bridal party
8 months before
- Order your wedding dress (most companies take 6-8 months for the dress to come in)
- Hire your caterer, florist and photographer
6 months before
- Order bridesmaid dresses ( most companies take 4-6 months for the dresses to come in)
- Book your honeymoon
- Send save the dates
4 months before
- Order your cake
- Plan the rehearsal dinner
- Choose the groom’s and groomsmen attire
2 months before
- Have your hair and make-up trial
- Finalize the ceremony with the officiant
6 weeks before
- Confirm delivery of your dress and bridesmaid dresses
- Apply for a marriage license
2 weeks before
- Have your final dress fitting
- Review RSVP’s
1 week before
- Provide final head count to the site and caterer
- Finalize the seating chart
- Give last-minute requests to vendors
48 hours before
- Pick up your wedding dress from the seamstress
- Put vendor tips in envelopes, and ask the maid of honour or best man to distribute them
Day before
- Do last-minute primping (manicure, pedicure)
- Rehearse the ceremony
- Give gifts to the bridal party
Day of
- Give rings to the best man and maid of honour
- Get married!!
- Enjoy the day!
